Studying Sanskrit grammar is a gratifying and stimulating activity since the very beginning: in less time that you might think, you will get to a deeper and clearer vision of any Indo-European language (English included), capable to stimulate important changes in yourself.

To have a knowledge of basic grammar is the only way to relate directly with the texts of Classical India, masterworks of world literature and thinking, without having to rely on and pass through the various representations (Orientalistic, New-Age, Hinduistic, etc.) of ancient and classical India, all representations that, in my opinion, are never so intellectually stimulating as the text themselves (more often than not, few shloka properly studied and reflected upon from a Sanskrit classic are more valuable than entire volumes of secondary sources written in modern languages).
